Dr. Kim grew up in Columbia, SC, and attended the University of South Carolina - Columbia for a bachelor's in Biology.  Then Dr. Kim went on and attended Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine, where he developed an interest in soft tissue surgery, dentistry, and pain management.  Outside of Vetmed, Dr. Kim enjoys the outdoor activities such as fishing, hiking, and recently cycling.  At home, Dr. Kim has one rat terrier named Benji and an axolotl named Rocket.
