The Chastain Animal Clinic team of skilled veterinarians welcomes you to our practice. Proudly serving the Smyrna and areas. At Chastain Animal Clinic, it is our daily privilege to provide quality vet care to your cherished pet, with compassion and competence. We hope to ensure a positive impact on our patients, pet owners and the local community.

Dr. Kris Gresham
Kris recently got married, changing her name from Dr. Blaine to Dr. Gresham. She was born in Wyoming, but grew up in Ohio. She received her undergraduate degree from Denison University, and her DVM from Ohio State University in 2005. After graduation, she immediately fled the cold north for warmer pastures here in Smyrna! She has completed extra training so that she can offer our patients in-house ultrasound exams. She really enjoys working with clients through all stages of their pets' lives, from introducing a new pet into the family to making the best decisions for sick and older pets. She has two cats, Grendel (the little monster) and Tipsy (the Ohio dumpster kitty). When not at the clinic, she loves painting and volunteering with her church and Big Brothers, Big Sisters.

Dr. Lori Germon
Dr. Germon is a rare Atlanta native. She did her undergraduate work at Emory University and received her DVM from the University of Georgia. She has been with us for five years. Outside the clinic, Dr. Germon is kept busy by her ten-year-old son, two dogs and a precocious Cockatiel (aptly named Brat). As you can imagine, free moments are rare, but are spent riding her horse, Dusty. Dr. Germon has an interest in helping clients address common pet behavior problems. These problems are very important to confront because they can undermine the special bond that people share with their pets.

Dr. Jeff Sims
Dr. Sims has been with Chastain Animal Clinic since 1988. He completed his undergraduate and veterinary training at Purdue University in 1982. Cancer treatment, especially chemotherapy, is a special interest of Dr Sims. It is so important to have an open line of communication with your client during these stressful treatments. He has enjoyed the relationships he has built over his many years of practice here at Chastain. He and his wife, Barb, have two children, Mike and Elizabeth, and a dog, Kyrie (the kids named her). Dr Sims is especially proud of Kyrie. She is the first dog that he and his wife have had that likes him best (a source of constant irritation to his wife). Mike is an engineer and Elizabeth is a student at the University of Richmond. When not at the clinic, Dr Sims will most likely be spending time with his family.
